Dear Frank,
I’m writing to let you know how
sorry I am that you couldn’t come to my party last week. We had
such a brilliant time, not to mention the special Hungarian
dishes I made.
I prepared a traditional soup
called „gulyás” and I thought you might be interested in this
Hungarian recipe that I learnt from my grandmother.
So here you are:
-
First of all fry some onion in oil, then add the meat (beef,
chicken or pork ).

Add some water and some spices, especially paprika and
salt. Then leave it to stimmer until the meat is done. Fill the
pot with water, add some potatoes and cook it.

Serve it with bread and you have a very nice filling meal.
I gave you a recipe but I’m not
even sure if you can or like to cook and don’t know your taste
in food either. If you have time, please let me know what kind
of food you like. Maybe one day we should prepare something
together!

Dear Denise,
Hello. How are you all? I’m
sorry not to have been able to write to you for ages but I’m in
the middle of changing jobs.
In January I begin work as
Head of Communication at Ikarusz Rt. in Székesfehérvár so I will
be in charge of its press and publicity. I am really excited
about it. The people seem very nice and it’s a good job. It also
means moving.
I plan to sell my flat in
Miskolc but as you probably know, the recession here means that
it is very difficult. I will send you my new address if I have
one.
One of the good things about
moving to Székesfehérvár is that it is relatively close to both
Budapest and Lake Balaton, which are very beautiful and perfect
places for weekends. What’s more, I ll be able to visit friends
more frequently. So I’m sure I won’t feel lonely.
How is Sheffield? Hungarian
newspapers don’t cover very much about it. Do you still take
long walks?

you all are. Do you plan to visit Hungary again?
